Christ Community Church is devoting its energies to developing community relationships through acts of Christian service that
- communicate Biblical values
- encourage commitment to Christ
- inspire celebrative worship
- promote ongoing spiritual growth
thereby continually expanding the Family of God.
Our vision is to draw unchurched and previously churched people into a maturing relationship with Christ.
We value
- Prayer
We believe that prayer is not the prelude to, but the first part of, ministry. We promote prayer in all aspects of church life, as well a groups organized solely for prayer. We surround our outreach and discipleship efforts with intercessory prayer.
- Evangelism
We believe that the church's primary and continual calling is to help people (re)connect to Christ and then mature in that relationship.
- Relationships
We believe that friendships and relationships provide the most effective and natural setting in which to show one's faith and communicate the claims of Christ.
- Education and Discipleship
We believe that Christians ought to be continually maturing and exercising their faith. To promote ongoing growth, we expect each new member to:
- regularly attend worship
- regularly participate in a Fellowship Group
- actively pursue opportunities to reach people for Christ
- exercise Christian stewardship by sharing gifts and resources to advance the ministry of the church.
- Worship
We believe that worship should glorify God, with special attention given to celebrating His grace and showing people how to live and thrive as thankful recipients of that grace. Worship is primarily for the believer, but we have high "seeker-sensitivity." Emphasis is placed on relevance and application in preaching, and generally on a contemporary and creative style, with some traditional elements.
- Being Reformed
We believe that ministry should be culturally relevant without biblical compromise. We promote our Reformed theological convictions and apply them to the current situation.
